loud noise coming from pc?

Whenever i boot up my pc a loud roaring noise comes from it, I found out that it's not the hard drive because when I unplugged it the noise was still there. I think it may be coming from the dvd-drive what should i do?

Hi there msproject251,

You can just take it out of the system and see if this is the component that is making the noise. There are quite a lot of tutorials on the internet on how to do that.
Another thing you can try is to just attach it with different SATA and power cables.
