Video Signal goes out after installing Nvidia drivers

Heres my build to start
Gigabyte GA-Z170X Gaming 7
Intel Core i-7 6700k 8m Skylake
Zotac 980 Ti
G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB
EVGA SuperNOVA 850W
Noctua NH-U12S
and im using a copy of windows 7 ultimate

As the title says i lose signal after the restart once the nvidia drivers are installed
i have reset the cmos tried an older video card that i know is good and got the same result i tried my other PCIe ports ive used the driver sweeper and reinstalled the drivers tried to go back and use much older driver versions im using an HDMI plug to a tv also

Hi Gmart did you solve this?

I have almost the exact same issue and the same build: Same Ram, Motherboard & Processor. gtx970 get no signal after bios and spinning windows 10.

If you found a fix or even what was wrong can you let me know as I might have the same issue. I can only get mine to boot by reseating the ram every time the computer turns off obviously not ideal.
