Thx in advance :D

My current build is
CPU:AMD fx 9370
Gpu:r9 270
Ram8gb
Mobo:gigabyte GA 990xa
Psu:cougar cmx 700w (V2)
WIN 8.1
Case:cm k380
But the oculus needs a gtx 970 or 290 or better and tbh last time i waited for the Intel 6th generation I was disappointed and I wasted my time...but anyway I'm going to get this pc after a month or 2...

well i had this build in my mind...and the gtx 970/290 are the recommended specs not the minimum...
cpu:i5 4690k
gpu:r9 390
ram:16gb
mobo:msi gaming 5
case:nzxt phantom 410
psu:cougar cmx 700w (V2)
i think that exceeds the recommended specs...and i can't get the 980ti because i'm going to get a case, cpu, ram and mobo so the budget won't fit...and also i considered keeping my current build and get a galaxy s7 edge and the gear vr...and then next year i'll get the pc and oculus so the new gpu gen will be out and there will be more games for the oculus and i'll have a better idea of the oculus...so what do u think???

no the gtx 970 is the recommended specs...and if u looked for oculus ready pc u'll find that they all have either a gtx 970 or 980...so i think the r9 390 is more than enough...and also i'm thinking about keeping my old build and get a s7 edge and the gear vr then i'll get the oculus and pc next year...what do u think?

I can't get the i5-6XXX or the gtx 980ti because they're out of my budget cuz i'll get the mobo, case, ram, cpu and gpu so i can't

i5-6xxx with a R9 380 is probly doable in your price range

use your existing windows 8.1 license to upgrade to 10 (win 8.1 gets reduced support in skylake)

i'm upgrading my pc...i'll just change the cpu, gpu, mobo, case and add 8gb of ram that's it so i wont change the psu and the hdd and the other stuff...and the r9 380x is below the recommended specs and tbh i don't think that the skylake is worth it...i'd rather get the i5 4690k and the r9 390 instead...and what do u think about not upgrading at all and i'll get the s7 edge with the gear vr and then i'll get the pc and the oculus next year???
