Hey guys, first time here and also first pc build. I'm just wondering if this build will work. The only part i'm not confident about is the motherboard but I thought I should just ask first. Thanks for any help available.

Parts:
CPU: Intel Core i5 6400 Skylake 2.7GHz 6MB
RAM: Kingston 8GB Single DDR3L Value Series C11 1600MHz
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX970 TURBO 4GB PEAK GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI DisplayPort
PSU: Corsair CX600M 600W 80PLUS Bronze Semi-Modular Power Supply
Motherboard: Asus H170-PLUS D3 LGA1151 DDR3 ATX Motherboard
Case: Deepcool Tesseract Black/Red Mid Tower w/Side Window
HDD: 500gb in current pc, don't know model but it 3.5"

Solution
Yep your 100% compatible there, may I ask why you're going with that mobo / ddr3l ram? is it cost cutting? As a ddr4 board and ddr4 RAM wont cost alot more, and you can probably keep your ddr4 ram for longer eg: if you get new parts in a few years :)

Wow thanks thats perfect. I'm choosing the mobo and ram combo for cost cutting as you said, but if its better I think I will happily spend that little bit extra for ddr4 to make this pc last. :)

No problem :) And what country are you in? I can probably give you some advice on ddr4 / a mobo that will only cost a little more if not the same

I live in Australia (the country of expensive tech!). But that would be very helpful, thank you.

Awesome right I can help alot!

If you use new egg (its the best way for me to compare between countries , i don't know if you have a preferred site) I really advise this motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128863

I have the z170 equivalent, that motherboard is MUCH higher grade and higher rated than the one you had specified, and as it actually CHEAPER (much cheaper as it is currently on sale! ) Gigabyte boards are personally the best, and as you don't have an overclockable chip this h170 chipset will do nicely.

As for RAM this is the same as mine in a different colour, awesome RAM for the price:
www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148983&cm_re=ddr4_8gb-_-20-148-983-_-Product

That RAM is well priced and there is very little DDR4 thats cheaper :)

Anyway if you don't like them parts or need anything else lemme know, i build systems quite alot these days for clients so have experience with plenty of different parts + brands :)

Wow thanks. I will definitely look into these parts, and I have bought from newegg before and been completely satisfied. :)
