Purchase Date: March / April 2016
Budget Range: $1100 to $1300
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Digital Imaging, Streaming Video, Podcasts, Business
Are you buying a monitor: Yes, but waiting for seperate sale on Amazon, NewEgg, etc.
Parts to Upgrade: Not applicable (this is a new build)
Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon, NewEgg, Other
Location: United States

Overclocking: No
SLI or Crossfire: I think so
Your Monitor Resolution: Looking for 1920x1080 initially, then perhaps something more in 2017

Additional Comments: I don't need a monster, but my big concerns are having a duel monitor setup, and the ram/cpu/gpu/psu to support that. I figure if I can game with this, I can do anything of my other usual things like stream Netflix, play with imaging apps like Photoshop and a Fractal maker, record video and audio, and run my business apps.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I have a P.O.S HP Windows 7 computer that was gifted to me. Has a pixel shader 3 video card. In other words, can't play any of the PC games on the current market. Watching Netflix sucks up all my ram. Running business apps sucks up all my ram.

This build will give me a litte more then I need right this minute, but will have room to grow. Not 100% set on exact Nvidia graphics card, but I don't want to invest in 4k graphic capability right away.

Would appreciate advice or suggestions regarding the core components.

Solution
- Need a cooler for 6600K, not included.
- Z170 board with Supreme FX audio is better for K' series CPU and eliminates need for sound card.-
- Single GTX 970 can easily handle dual monitors.
- Nova case is similar to 100R but fits larger graphics card

I would consider going back to Haswell-Refresh (and get a i5 4690k) to save some money and upgrading your PSU to a 650+ watt. Also, I believe you can't SLI 750ti's in any case, but I might be wrong. If you can't though, and even if you can, I would go for a single 970 GPU (Strix) or a crossfire 370. It will save money and time, and will perform better (but again, I don't know if you can SLI a 750ti). For the ram, go for either 2x4 or 2x8 Gigabytes of Ripjaws X. As for the case, the R4 is a good choice, and I hear good things about it, but I haven't used it. Motherboards at this budget are pretty easy, just get a ASRock H97 Anniversary motherboard. Everything else looks great, and happy computing!

Many thanks for your replies you 3. Will do more research based on your notes and re-adjust. Guess I need to read more on the forums hehehe. At least I have this crappy HP to do research on.
