I start the computer and it gets to bios and after choosing the right boot order and restarting it goes black with the little white bar blinking up to the left and nothing happens

Solution
You have to open the bios, and set the correct date and time.
Then, make sure all the bios settings (like boot order) are correct.
(or load the default settings / last known good configuration)
Then save your bios settings.
Now, reboot.

The only thing wrong is that the settings are incorrect...be patient and learn it.
