PC wont turn on after I plug in the 8 pin of the psu to the gpu

I was just checking. Because I think a fair few people forget to press the button on the PSU to turn it on.

You can also try do the paperclip test, whenever you want to verify that a PSU works. Just youtube it.

You should list your PC specs by the way.

I've never heard of shark. So I'm quite suspicious of that PSU I must say. Definitely not one of the well-known brands
around here; which is a bad sign by itself. However, is there absolutely no sign of life? No fans spinning, no lights, no beeps?

The psu has a 6 pin with a 2 on the side I have used the spare 4 pin and used a 4 pin to 8 pin adapter to plug into the 8 pin and the 6 pin from the psu to plug into the 6 pin
