Hello, I am trying to remove malware from my aunt's computer. I decided to backup her files and reinstall windows because the virus scanner I am using, avira, is not detecting the malware. Since the computer was bought at a store it does not have a windows disc. In addition, my aunt never created system image disc. I tried using system restore instead of a full reinstallation but when I click the "open system restore" button a window pops up that says "starting system restore" then after a few moments it closes and nothing happens. I was under the impression you could make your own windows reinstallation disc.
How do reinstall windows without the disc?
