980 TI video card. What model to go with?

I am one piece away from completing my new build. That's a 980 TI video card. I'm looking at some advice on which model to get. I have the Oculus Rift pre-ordered. Reason why I needed to upgrade. Hardware I've already bought: I7 5930 K, Asus X99Pro, Crucial Elite 32GB ram, Samsung 950 Pro. Evga 850G2 PSU in a Corsair Obsidian750D case... I was tempted by Evga VR edition with the added Hdmi and USB ports but wasn't sure if going stock was worth the gadget it comes with.

I love my gigabyte G1 would definitely recommend.

Gigabyte G1 Gaming definitely. 1.19 Ghz core clock, great cooling, amazing aesthetics, and from a fantastic company.

i for one like the asus strix models for nvidia cards
also if you have a old card you can use temporarily you can wait for the new pascal gpus in june to see what they have

I've tested the EVGA ACX 2.0, MSI Gaming, Gigabyte G1, and ASUS STRIX models. My favorite was the MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GAMING-GTX-980TI-6G/dp.... It comes clocked pretty high out of the box, runs very cool, and was the quietest model at full load. You can't go wrong with any of those options but the MSI was the winner for me.
