The recent AMD drivers updates seems to be messing up my graphics cards. So basically got back home on Thursday and thought I'd play a bit of FIFA seeing as I was bored. Few minutes into the game and the screen goes blank with wired strips running across it, the game froze and no command or option was working. I decided to turn the pc of and started it back up, but at the log in screen there were pixels every where. I tried typing in the password but it froze again. I then went on to try the safe mode option which worked and I noticed that the problem had to do with my AMD 200 series display adapter. I could run the computer on the normal VGA that comes with windows, but anytime I tried using the AMD adapter the screen goes black and the computer freezes up. I uninstalled the drivers and everything AMD related, but now when I try to reinstall them from the AMD site, the screen goes black halfway through the installation and doesn't comes back on. From what I've seen online, a lot of people seem to be going through the same issue and there are no clues to solving it yet. Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this with the new drivers update and how you sorted it out. My specs are

Windows 10
Intel i7 3770
AMD r9 270 (Gigabyte)
8GB RAM

Thanks for your help

Also it is worth mentioning that I have tried installing older versions of the AMD drivers, but the same thing happens.

I would say try older drivers but you said you already tried that . The new drivers were limiting graphics cards to 20% fan speed causing them to melt or get damaged harshly . Check your temps ..... Maybe your got damaged

I run into a similar issue, not sure if this will help. Whenever my screen goes black, I unplug the DVI cable from the back of the video card, wait a few seconds and then plug it back in and the display will come back.
