I think my new TP-Link Archer T4U usb adapter is wireless-ac, but Windows properties shows 802.11n NIC... what gives?

Hello,

I recently bought the TP-Link Archer T4U to take advantage of its wirless-ac capabilities. I am connecting to a Apple Airport Extreme, 5GHz wireless-ac band.

While setting it up, I opened up the properties window on the usb adapter and under Device Information it says "Model Name: 802.11n NIC". I expected to see 802.11ac here.

When I hover over my wireless connection icon in the task bar, it says the following:
Adam's Airport 5GHz
Transmit Rate: 867Mbps
Wireless Mode: 802.11ac

I am confused by the model name? Why doesn't it say 802.11ac? Is there any further way to test that I am on a wireless-ac connection?

Thanks very much for your expertise!
