Hello, recently I got an Alienware Graphics Amplifier.
Is it compatible with my 15 R1?
Also if it is, I've been setting my eyes on the EVGA Geforce Titan X Hybrid. Would it fit in the Amp?
My laptop is 970m but I feel like it's lacking something. I can't seem to even play Fallout 4 or Batman Arkham.
Thanks in advance!
My specs are
Operating System: Windows 8.1, 64-bit
DirectX version: 11.0
GPU processor: GeForce GTX 970M
Driver version: 355.60
Direct3D API version: 11.2
Direct3D feature level: 11_1
CUDA Cores: 1280
Core clock: 924 MHz
Memory data rate: 5010 MHz
Memory interface: 192-bit
Memory bandwidth: 120.24 GB/s
Total available graphics memory: 11206 MB
Dedicated video memory: 3072 MB GDDR5
System video memory: 0 MB
Shared system memory: 8134 MB
Video BIOS version: 84.04.29.00.17
IRQ: Not used
Bus: PCI Express x8 Gen3

Sorry for the wall of text, I'm new at this. I've got the laptop for a year now. Swapped the original 1tb hhd to 500 SSD. That's all I've done.

Solution
For compatibility, if you can't find the info in the documentation, you can contact Alienware support. "he graphics amplifier allows you to enjoy the performance of the desktop graphics card on your Alienware 13, 15 and 17 R2 & R3 " Nothing about R1 but check.

Titan is not a good video card, 980 Ti is cheaper and just as good. Keep in mind the 375 watt limit on the device.

You should be able to play Fallout 4 on that system just fine without any issues on the 970m, maybe not at max settings, but easily playable.
