I want to buy a lap top for my personal use, no matter what ever the brand, it is for my home need
only, good configuration, at the minimum cost, please suggest.

are you willing to buy used computers? i usually reccomend Thinkpad's . staples sells refurbished thinkpad t420's for around 300 bucks, that is a solid price and it is a reliable good quality laptop, 4gb ram is probably not enough so i would recommend upgrading to 8gb.
