ive got a i5 3570k havent bought the video card for it yet tho was planning on buying a gtx 770
i just wanna pass the steam vr test im also gonna be getting ram later on too the system i got goes up to 32gb ram which im not sure id need that much but im sure like 16gb would help alot
id like to play some vr games in the near future now ive seen that steam vr benchmark test or whatever their's a couple videos on youtube where the guy has the same system specs i have but with a gtx 970 that passes the test on the high end ya know in the green zone all the way at the end now my question is will a gtx 770 be enough or do i need to go a little higher gpu wise and save up for a gtx 970

Nvidia doesn't back the GTX 960 for VR support. And with new VR with better graphics and headsets, in the near future the 970 may be on the low side. I would honestly not recommend a GTX 960.

I don't put much stock in Passmark scores.

Recommended minimum is GTX 970, which is a fair bit more powerful than your card (which is close to a GTX 960). It's hard to say for certain though, maybe you could get away with less for certain games if you turn down settings enough.

ya i just got my answer the guy on youtube wit the i5 3570k an gtx 980 passed right and i was thinking maybe i could chance it wit an gtx 780 well it doesnt pass in this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HnDb2hNEfY

i might add this guy even has a better system than me he's got a i7-4770k wit a gtx 780 and didnt pass
yet the guy wit the i5-3570k wit a gtx 980 did pass whew thankgod i didnt buy the gtx 770 or gtx 780
its opened my eyes quite a bit these new VR gaming devices rely big time on your graphics card even more than the processor speed of your computer

so ya after that video im definitly saving up for a gtx 980 to be on the safe side
