I have a tp-link wireless dongle and it keeps disconnecting when I am using it. some days its fine and some days I cant even google stuff. I have a custom built pc and I am using windows 10 and the drivers on my pc are all up to date. help? and try to keep it simple I'm not that much of a techno wizz

Could be just a matter of reception/interference. Does not take much to get disconnected if you are operating at the threshold between connection and no connection.
Try another USB port.
Try using a USB extension cable to move the wireless dongle up and about. May help improve or steady reception.
Move the wireless router a bit - higher if at all possible.
