Hello,

Here at work I have to PCs that have Dual Monitors.

So that's 2 PCs and 4 monitors.

I will be moving to a different office soon and the desk space is a bit smaller than my current one. So I would like to have both PCs share one set of monitors.

So that would be 2 PCs and two monitors total.

I have heard of KVM switches before but have never used one personally and in my searching have seen a lot of different kinds with a lot of different configurations with large swings in pricing (some are as cheap as $89 and some as expensive as 1k)

Both PCs are connected to their monitors currently through graphics cards.

The graphics card each have two display ports and one DVI-D port.

On each computer, One monitor is Hooked up using the Display port and the second using the the DVI-D port. The second Display port is not being used currently.

Do you guys know what kvm options I have out there?

Thank you very much :)

Question:
Do you need the rapid switching a kvm port supplies or are you fine with pressing the "input select" button on your monitor?

If you're fine with pressing, why not just connect the cables such that DP from one computer goes to one monitor and DVI goes to the opposite (for both, so they mirror each other)? It's a hell of a lot cheaper at absolutely free
