Can I put a PCI Express 3.0 16x Card in a normal PCI 3.0 slot?

I'd like to buy an Asus GTX 950 Strix, but my motherboard is an Gigabyte GA-B75M-D2V, and its overview says it's support a PCI Express Gen 3.0. Thanks for help guys

The card is PCIe x16 3.0 and the mobo has a PCIe x16 3.0 slot. It will work fine.

They are the same. Normal PCI slots are not the same x16 length that the PCIe slots are. It will work as intended.
