Every 2-5 minutes, there will be a extreme distortion and static that is very annoying. I've searched all over the internet, and cant seem to find a solution. A temporary fix to the problem is unplugging and plugging in the headset, but after 15 mins or so, it resumes.

Headset: Logitech G430s connected via audio jack and mic jack connected into the provided usb port thingy.

Realtek audio drivers

What is very confusing to me is that it only happens in The Division, and i haven't noticed it anything else other than Division.

Thanks

EDIT: Was playing CSGO last night and i noticed the distortions, but no static.

Then maybe it's the headset software.

The mic could be getting a crossed signal with the audio or something, damaged cable could cause it.

in game, the game has a default "ambient" mic for the dark zone so people can hear you talking and you can talk to them.

There is a setting in the volume properties under communications that may be muting the sound when team speak is up.

Oh, yes i have push to talk enabled and still did it when it was disabled. This is very frustrating because i cant play with anybody unless i use game chat.

If you borrow a friends headset/phones, or even buy a cheapo one, or maybe use something like the earbuds from an ipod/iphone/ect is it still there?

It could be your headset program depending on what it does.

It does sound like a software maybe trying to equalize the sound or something and messing it up in the process.

Does it happen when you watch a video on youtube/twitch/ect?
