Hello.
So currently i have Celeron D 331 Prescott based. Idle temp is 58-65° and in load 68-xx° i don't know maximum temp for load.
So i want to buy Intel Core 2 duo e6600 and i will use stock Celeron cooler or Core 2 duo package cooler
So what would be temp for core 2 duo on celeron cooler?
I use original celeron cooler who was pre-built.
Any help? And tnx

Core2Duo produces a lot less heat than Prescott. The Prescott cooler should work nicely.

I'm sure you're aware, but your PC is 12 years old, which is practically prehistoric due to the pace of innovation. I wouldn't drop very much money into it, but if it's fulfilling your needs, an eBay special $10 CPU upgrade wouldn't seem unreasonable.
