Need a more secure way than adhesive backed velcro pads to attach my external hard drive to the textured plastic of the back of my Toshiba laptop screen.

Lol, Got to be dozens of people with Toshiba laptops that have tried to attach external hard drive onto the backs of their lap top screen with self adhesive velcro pads. They work great sticking to smooth hard drive The very fine textured surface of the back of Toshiba laptop screens causes the self stick adhesive to slowly release and the external drive eventually detaches and fall off.
Already searched viable option like an adjustable Rear Mounted External Hard drive Caddy, Pouch,or Cradle, but no one makes one?.Looks like I may need to resort to some butchery sand things down on the textured surface to be made smooth and use a suitable glue instead of just using self adhesive velcro pads.lol
Before I resort to sand the mounting areas smooth I will try working some super glue onto the existing self stick adhesive velcro pads to see if the pads will stay put on the back and not let my drive detach after several hours
