So, I have a ps/2 mouse and keyboard attached to my system when installing windows.
When I clean install windows I disconnected everything except keyboard and mouse. the mouse was working fine at the first steps like where you have to select languages, creating partitions etc. but at the last step in "completing installation" the mouse stops working every time and every installation. I have another pc but that doesn't have this kind of problem.
and I'm sure that the mouse is in good condition cause when I install without mouse connected( only with keyboard) the installation completes without any problem. then after completing everything I connect mouse and everything works well.
then why mouse stops working in "completing installation" step in this pc only?
as far as I can remember this is happening from last 2 or 3 reinstallation but before that I never get this problem.
So, what should I do, What settings should i change?
mobo - gigabyte h81m-s1
cpu - intel g3220
hdd - 500gb seagate barracuda
OS - windows 7 sp1 64bit
optical disk drive - lg dvd writer

Solution
Maybe because it's a PS/2 mouse. They're old. It probably wouldn't happen with a USB one.
But if you're able to install Windows just fine, then what's the problem? Surely you don't re-install windows everyday.
There might be some settings in BIOS concerning legacy hardware which you can try to enable.

first off all very sorry, its already too much late to reply you , cause all of a sudden my pc broke,
AND YES!! YOU ARE CORRECT NO PROBLEM WHEN USING USB MOUSE, may be its related to any kind of legacy hardware enable/disable option. but, now everything is ok....
