I want to take the SSD that was in my old Toshiba and install it in my new Dell. I tried and it boots up but now my Dell thinks its a Toshiba... Is there a way to remove the Toshiba info from the SSD? I've tried to use sysprep and generalize but I get an error message and it won't run. I'm not sure if this is the proper route to take or not. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You are likely to start to see messages about Windows not being valid soon if you just swapped the hard drives to another system. The OEM Windows installed on the computers is only valid on the computer it was originally installed on.

Those customizations are done with registry and image changes not through sysprep. You are also likely to run into other issues with the system running a bit slow due to driver conflicts. Best thing to do is install Windows clean on the drive and use the Windows code off the Dell to activate it. Or do a backup of the Dell system and restore it on the SSD.
