What Graphics Card to upgrade to for 1080p gaming

These are my specs: i7 3700 @ 3.40GHz, AMD HD 7700, 8GB RAM

I want to upgrade my GPU but im not sure to what make/model
I would like it to be around the £200 mark (preferably less) and it to be able to run most current games @1080p 60fps+
Heard that the GTX 970 is a v good card for the price but is still a bit pricey and maybe too much for my needs anyway
Any help would be great, Thanks.

Well Ali,

now is not a good time for upgrading gpu. If you have been waiting until this moment try to wait few months more. Polaris and Pascal are close to be on market, with complete new technology.

For exactly 200 pounds you can get a radeon r9 380X asus. Can play games on 1080p 60 fps high/medium. A good idea would be to wait for the gtx 960ti, it is getting developed.
