I recently found out COD 4 MW 1 had a massive follower bigger than modern, money oriented tittles of the same franchise, so I decided to install it again.

Upon install old game, it asks if I want to install a directx 9 version.
By doing so, am I doing wrong in any way?
Because I feel a certain graphical lag when turning sideways, panning. It may be my monitor too, but other games work smoother.

Keep in mind, I reformatted and reinstalled everything on my pc so it would work better.
