Hi,

I am planning to get R9 380/380x.
My PSU is Zalman ZM450-FX (SFX PSU). 80+ Bronze and 36A on 12V rail.
I am going to overclock GPU, but I will not change core voltage. Problem is that my case only supports SFX PSUs, so if I will get more powerful PSU, it will cost around 100$ and I will not able to buy new GPU. I have seen benchmarks with R9 380x and its power consumtion in Furmark was less than 360W. Will my PSU handle R9 380/380x with OC at peak usage? Or should I get GTX 960?

My current PC specs: i5-4460, GTX 950,8gb ram, MSI z87i gaming ac, WD blue HDD 1TB, Samsung Evo 850 SSD 120GB

P.S. I know it is worthless to upgrade GTX 950 to 960, but extra performance is realy important for me.

The answer is yes and no. Depends on your model of the 380x but AMD cards are known to draw upper 280's - 450's on their own... while Nvidia cards are usually about half.
