I had installed before WD10EZEX Caviar blue in my fractal design define r5 and the upper part of the case was vibrating like hell.. is this the problem of case or it is hdd problem? it doesn't vibrate out of the blue instantly, but after some time, when playing games.

Hi there Motakuji,

That is unpleasant. :(

I would totally agree with X79. You need to double check the connection. You can attach it to another port and make sure that it is tightly fastened. In case you have spare cables, you can even attach it with different SATA and power ones.
Another thing you can do is to test it with WD's Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool(both short and extended tests): http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=PbN2Dk

If there is something wrong with the drive, you need to back up the data stored on it as soon as possible.

Let us know how this goes,

Hello, the hdd was perfectly fastened with rubber bands. Not my first rodeo. I defragmented hdd and i'm using ssd for some time now. I'm running extended test for hdd now. There was no errors.

Even though HDDs are louder than SSDs, they shouldn't really be that disturbing.

If the cables are long enough, you can take the HDD out and see if it makes any loud noises(vibrations). In case it is not, then I guess your case should be doing this.(amplifying noise and vibration in some way)

I already took HDD out, when I was doing those tests - it wasn't vibrating. Strange, one of the quietest cases, but it made me this problem. There are sound dampening materials all around, but the upper part is the only one place where it isn't.
