Hey guys

this might sound like just another 'combining 2 internet connection' post but i like to believe it's not :p

okay, the setup might be the same. i have one motherboard, that has 2 LAN port, one Intel and one Realtek.

What i need, is to route all the download through one, and all the upload through the other... Is that even possible ?

Thanks :)

Is it possible? Yes, quite easy though UDP and custom software. Is it possible for TCP traffic? not without hardware that costs more than you can afford. The easier route, assuming you have a server, is to use NIC teaming, but 99% chance is that you do NOT actually need it or else you would have already bought a better system with 4gE or even 10gE
If it could be done then it would be well documented on the Internet on how to do it.

And yet it`s not.
So do you think it`s possible to do still ?

In short No, or you would know about it by going a quick google search inquire.
No results Is it possible ? nope.

Nice thought though.

Think momentarily about how packets work. IP address A talks to B and then B replies to A. What you'd want to setup is a system where all downloads go to IP address X while all uploads come from Y. This would mean that Y talks to B, then B replies to A. If you could do this, it would be trivial to turn it into a DDOS attack.

In my country, upload above 512kbps or 1mbps is quite impossible. like the best package one could get at home is 8 mbps down and 1mbps up, limited to 60gb/month and its quite the nightmare

somehow, i managed a 8mbps upload connection, but it only come with 1mbps down with it, and on the other side i have a 8mbps down with 512kbps...

So i cant be fully here, nor there ^.^

It will NOT work, since your ISP must support that method and it's pretty clear it's a shitty ass ISP. 512kbps is usually enough for most games, 1mbps is more than enough. Neither is good enough for broadcast (twitch style) or server hosting, so why bother?
