Hello Friends,

I have Samsung NP270E5E Laptop.

Before two days ago I got a problem with boot up. It was rebooting again and again.

To resolve that, I tried to restore, recover and repair but non of them worked.

So, I install fresh windows 8, but still I'm having problem. Then I thought it should be BIOS problem, So when I try to go to BIOS, there F2, Del, F10, F12 nothing worked.

When I change the Boot sequence in BIOS, it does not store anything changes, after restart it comes to default.

I changed the CMOS, still no any solution.

Is there there anyone can be helpful for me?

Thank you.

Thank you for your continues interest and sorry for so late reply, I was with my family on Easter trip.

When I remove hdd from laptop, that time BIOS boot from dvd drive, because it has default setting set to second boot as dvd drive, so in that case, my dvd is working perfect.

I have installed new OS using the same installation disc and same dvd drive. It worked perfect.

Do you mean you changed the Cmos battery.

If your bios is not saving and retaining any changes to the settings you make in the bios.
And you find that the bios real time clock, along with the date and year are not correct in the bios of the laptop.

It means you need to replace the Cmos coin cell battery of the laptop for a new battery as the old coin cell has run out of power to keep all of the settings retained. Otherwise the laptop will always default to factory bios settings.

You will notice this when you completely power the laptop off for some time then power it up.
The battery or coin cell can be hard to find on some laptops so you can replace it.

By using the brand name of the laptop and it`s model number, and putting replacement cmos battery in a query search of google, or by using ebay you should be able to find a new, or replacement coin cell battery for the laptop ok.

if your hearing click or clunk when the laptop reboots could be the main drive has failed and pulling more power then the system board can give. wiht the battery out and power off check that all the ram and ethenet cards on the bottom of the laptop are seated. if the cmos not holding anything check to see if there a cmos clear jumper on the laptop. if it set wrong or missing cmos wont hold. also if the cmos chip has failed or system board has failed it wont hold. if the unit under warranty dont pull it apart send it in under rma.

Hi Shaun o,

Thank you for your interest in solving my problem.

My BIOS shows me the currect date. "24/03/2016"

And when I set CD Drive to first boot, it does not work and boots the HDD, also F12 is not working to get boot menu.

Hi smorizio,

Thank you for your interest in solving my problem.

I cannot hear any voice when start up.
Main drive is ok, because I have tried another working drive with new installation, but same problem.
My battery is already dead so I have pulled it out and running on charger only.
I have checked RAM and Ethernet card. Both are seated properly.
I could not find any jumper on board. And I have another working CMOS, which I have already set.

NOW, I am concerning about board, there should be a problem with motherboard.

Can you please help me ahead?

your dvd drive may be bad or you have a bad burnt windows disk. try using from another pc windows media creation tool and a usb stick see if the pc boot from a usb stick. if you get into the bios turn of cs intel securty to keep people cloning laptop drives with it on your laptop wont boot from cd or usb.
