So, the thing is,that, i've had my gtx 650 for a couple of years and it worked fine and there were no problems at all,but sometimes ,on turning the PC on ,the monitor would go into power saving mode meaning the is no signal from the gpu(and i could hear the windows boot sound, indicating that the PC is working in the background )but it worked when i moved the vga connector from the gpu slot to the motherboard slot...sometimes ,while plugged in the motherboard vga slot ,it would do the same thing so i would move the vga connector to the gpu(for a few days it worked with the motherboard gpu and stopped working and then it would work for another couple of days with the external gpu and on and on it went ) but for the past couple of weeks it is only working with the motherboard slot..
So i'm looking for a permanent solution to this issue...if there is one.

Solution
That probably happened after driver update.
If you have integrated and discrete display adapters enabled, driver update might have reset secondary monitor to disabled state.
Just check your display driver settings and enable secondary monitor.

Sounds like the card needs to be reseated in the slot. Make sure the monitor is turned on and plugged into the Graphics card before starting the pc as some older pcs will just default to the integrated graphics if they dont detect a monitor on the graphics card.
