My PC is randomly shutting down even under moderate load. No bsod, no reports on WhoCrashed, shutting off completely. Ill leave specs below.

I put a new HD in the other day (WD black 1tb) after switching out my 2 tb WB black that was starting to make clunking sounds only after a month. The random shut down DID happen on my 2tb but very rarely so I never bothered to look into it. It shuts down every time I do anything halfway extensive now. I did notice on task manager If Im downloading a game on steam and browsing the internet my disk process will jump between 70% and 99%, not sure if this is normal.

I checked temps after 10 minutes of gaming. My CPU reaches 70c, GPU 73c.

The fact that this has happened on both HD's leads me to think It's a psu issue. I did a memory diagnostic so I dont think Its my RAM. I dont have much knowledge on computer hardware though. Should also add I cant bypass a cpu fan error when starting up without ingoring fan speed in bios. HWMonitor and Speedfan both read around 4000RPM. Here are my specs and thanks for any replies!

If this is your PSU, it received a good review from the Guru: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=110
But any PSU can finally begin to fail. Especially if left on for long periods of time and/or stressed out over its efficiency range. Might be something as simple as a failing capacitor. Hard to say for certain when that kind of issue arises. But the PSU is always one of the prime suspects.

Of course, a bad HDD, gfcx card, or even m/b could be at fault. That type of problem can be one of the hardest problems to track down. But your voltages are all within range at the time those results were taken. And you said the memory came back OK. What motherboard are you using?

Yep, updated it via flash drive earlier as well and no dice. Think my best option is to get a new PSU, been wanting a modular one anyways. Hopefully this helps!
