Hi, im in a tough situation right now.

My problem is my router is "far" away, not to far but far enough that I get bad ping when people use the internet when im gaming. I know gaming on wifi is horrible but its my only option atm.

My question is im going to be buying an ASUS (RT-AC68U) Router to stop this annoying lag but since im going to be on wifi im not sure if I should buy a good wifi adapter or a repeater to plug in to my wall and connect my pc to it via ethernet

Which option would be the fastest and would reduce the most latency? Also If you have any suggestions to a good wifi adapter or repeater for the asus router, please comment below :D

Thanks.

The issue with more lag when people are online is as likely to come from the fact that your don't have enough bandwidth in your internet connection and what they are doing as how your WiFi connection is. Just looking at one thing is not likely to help you.

Using a powerline network adapter will help if you have a weak wifi signal or if there is interference or spikes in the connection quality.

A better wifi adapter and router also will help. I'd go with powerline if you have good wiring in the house.
