Are you moving OEM components?

If the components are not OEM, then yes, you should be able to transfer the parts to a new case as long as the motherboard form factor, video card length/height, matches with the new case.

What are you doing to use the molex adapter for? If it's just a small device like a fan, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

im just scared knowing plugging things in the wrong port will fry something or explode just transferring pc parts to new case

All the connectors are made so they fit only in proper place, proper way. Would need a big hammer to stick them in wrong place, wrong way.
Worse problem could be placement of standoffs between MB and you have to be really careful there so they go only under the holes in MB. Having just one in wrong place can end up with a lots of smoke.
