ASUS M2N4-SLI does not like ECC RAM

I own an ASUS M2N4-SLI, and I recently bought 4x2GB of ECC RAM for it. It claims to support ECC RAM, but whenever I put any of this RAM in it, it yells at me via the BIOS beep codes that there's either a video error or a RAM issue (changed to old RAM and the error goes away, so I think it's a RAM issue). Beep code is 1 long, 2 short, or in other words a morse 'D'.

Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'd love to have 8GB in this board, instead of 3GB.

Well that was $15 wasted... Anyone need some registered RAM?

'*sigh*' was for my stupidity in not checking to see if it was registered before I bought. Now what do I do with 6 sticks of useless registered ECC RAM? Bookmarks? Wallpaper? Chopsticks?

Ha, I'd just use them for my .44 Magnum (which I actually own - sort of - waiting a year to get my concealed carry license):
