The CPU-Z keeps telling me the AMD A10-6700T is running at 3.3 Ghz when idle but the cpu is supposed to run at 2.5 ghz at non turbo speed, also when i use the Prime95 stress test the clock speed dips down to 2.6 ghz! Whats the matter?
Check the numbers in AMD overdrive to be sure but that actually looks fine, it should be running 2.5-2.6 ghz in prime at 100% and 3.3 only in single core turbo bursts.
Preety sure its suppossed to turbo up to 3.5 not 3.3 ghz!
If its idling its going to bounce around in that range. Unless you monitor it when its running in turbo then you will see it hit 3.5 for a single core, and only temporarily.
