[Off topic] Please Help me

As a person with slight OCD, I installed a Led fixture in my home workplace and gaming station. It was a 4ft led tube which was a complete enclosure. It had two wires a white and a blue one. So I connected it to my AC(220V-240V) wires and they lot up but they were showing a lag of around 0.8seconds to light up after the switch is pressed. Anyone with knowledge of such things help me? Google was of no use here.

It may be the power up time for the power supply.

I am not sure about these 4 foot replacements. Do they go straight to the 240 volts are are they designed to keep using the existing ballast that normal florescent bulbs use.

If they wire upto the normal 120/240, chances are they are not polarity sensitive since AC flips 50/60 times a second back and forth(so half the time the power is reversed and it is a sine wave).

When in doubt contact the manufacturer. Normally Black would be Hot(I have seen Blue as hot as well) and White would be Neutral.
