Is this build good enough for 1080p high settings gaming? And will it work?

RAM: Corsair Value Select CMV8GX3M2A1600C11 35.95 EURO
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Anniversary 81.80 EURO
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 84.90 EURO
PSU: Corsair VS550 51.80 EURO
Processor: intel core i5-4690k Boxed 237 EURO
GPU: EVGA GTX 960 4gb gddr5 219 EURO
Case: BitFenix NOVA BLACK 32.50 EURO
Total: 742.95 EURO
Budget was 750 euro's, but I can go a little over it. No fans by the way, don't know which fans to buy.

Any tips for it? Except for AMD gpu's, because I don't like the amount of power they need.

If everything lines up with the motherboard it should work fine. I think you'd be alright, im not an avid gamer but i can run 1080p absolutely fine with a gtx 960. And had no complaints running a G3258 CPU and a GT 730 GPU at 1080p.

Just make sure cpu/motherboard sockets are the same, i.e. LGA 1150

And motherboard form factor lines up with the case ATX/matx/itx/etc

And make sure ram is compatible, i.e. ddr3, ddr4

try building on PCpartpicker.com

They sometimes tell you things like that AMD CPU wont work with an intel motherboard, the ram is at a higher voltage that the motherboard, etc.

Thanks, I'll definitely check out partpicker and I'm glad to hear that the 960 doesn't cause any problems.

hmm, I'll try to find another PSU. But for the motherboard, what chip would you recommend me? I'll try to get the 970

Very reasonable.
some suggestions:
1. Buy a 2 x 4gb ram kit, not a single 8gb stick.
Two sticks will let you run in faster dual channel mode.

2. A GTX960 needs only 430w. You are ok on the wattage. I think you can do better on the psu quality.
Low end corsair psu's do not have a great reputation for reliability.
The good news is that they do not cause damage if they fail and the rma process is good.
I would look to Seasonic for top quality.
Here is a list:

3. The stock intel cooler is ok for starters. But if you intend to overclock, I would buy a cooler like the cm hyper212.

4. Your parts are not overly hot, likely the fans that come with the case will do the job.
It is easy to add a fan later if needed.

5. Love the ssd.

Ah damn, I wrote the wrong RAM, it's actually Corsair Value Select CMV8GX3M2A1600C11. I'll fix that.
So a 430W PSU would be good enough. Which of these PSU's should I get? Seasonic S12II-Bronze 430W 54.75 EU
or Seasonic S12II-Bronze 520W 58.90 EU or the Seasonic ECO Series 430W 47.30 EU. Saving some money is always welcome :)
