Hi Guys

I have this PC, very basic it has a basic Mobo, 1 HDD, i5 - 750 (1st gen i5) with a Thermaltake 450Watt PSU. Im not sure the quality of the PSU and if this powersupply with handle a 750/750 TI or equivalent card such as R7 265. Dont really care, just something that can handle it.

If this PSU cannot handle it, or you guys think is rubbish let me know.

The link to the PSU for voltage rails/amps etc is:

Please let me know if you think it can handle it for 750 TI

Regards,

Daniel

Quality and reliability have nothing to do with bronze or gold ratings. Those are efficiency ratings that tell how much power the PSU needs to pull from the wall to make its' 12volt power rating. There's plenty of gold units that are crap and bronze units that are great. Testing and parts examination is the only way to tell if a PSU is good or not. It just so happens we have a list here at Tom's that can guide you. Stick to tiers 1 or 2 for good quality but no lower than tier 3 if budget is an issue.

In Terms of Reliability though, Should i Stick in something like a bronze or gold rating. I just dont want this computing to die on me randomly in middle of LAN convention i have setup at my house. This is my third gaming rig.

Thanks for the answers so far guys, great help
