hello
this is basically a long story so im gonna shorten it
i bought an Xeon CPU off of eBay to do the Xeon socket 775 to 771 mod on my GIGABYTE motherboard, I already checked and my mobo is compatible.
when I installed the CPU today, everything POST'ed fine. but Windows 10 refused to boot, it kept giving me a 0xc00000e error which means it's a boot loader error. so I did some research and someone said that it can be solved using Windows 10 installation media and selecting startup repair in the installer.
well, I created a bootable USB in disk part, then used the media creation tool to download Windows 10 64 bit onto my drive. my computer refused to boot off of the drive, it just got stuck at the blue Windows logo even though I changed the boot order and everything in the BIOS.
so then i created a bootable DVD and verified the ISO. it wasn't corrupted at all, which is good. so then I burned the DVD using powerISO and verified the data there also, my computer again got stuck at the blue logo while booting off the DVD.
my motherboard is a gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT, can anyone help? I am so freaking fed up with Microsoft and their unstable OS'es, they claim to be perfect BUT THEY'RE NOT!
