If i have a old pre build computer with my hard drive can i reuse it to get windows?

I have my old pre build pc and it has hard drive can i reuse it to get windows from it or do i have to buy it again and put it on my new build.( I dont have the disc or anything like that)

Normally prebuilts come with an OEM version of windows which is not transferable to a new system, often not even to a new motherbd.
So this answer depends on the OEM. Dell, Hp,... and the like are usually Nope.

Builders OEm, like you can buy off Newegg are usually a yes. They won't have 'OEM' in the activation Key.
