MB won't see my second E5 2620 CPU

Hello,

I bought a X10DAL MB )http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182967_ ) which has dual socket and 2 E5-2620 CPUs. After installation the BIOS only reports one of the CPUs. The machine boots fine and everything but I just cant get my second cpu to show up!

Any ideas?

Are the two processors the same (including Stepping levels) You forgot to mention which OS - some don't permit dual processors.

They are exactly the same. Both are e5 2620 v3. I don't have an os installed yet I am checking thisfrom the bios screen.

You did not answer whether the Stepping on the two processors are the same.

I thought the Step level should be the same on both processors since they are identical (2620 V3 XEon). How can I read the step off of the CPU? Can I do it from the BIOS? the link you sent isn't really clear on that!

The step is R2. I don't know if that kind of answers your question, since they are both the same they are both R2
