The poor power phases of the board and the poor thermal design is dodgy when paired with that FX 8350 and it can run into stability and thermal issues. Make sure you buy the newest revision of the board so you don't have to update BIOS. Otherwise you won't be able to run the CPU with an old BIOS.

To share some wisdom from another thread:

kwantam : "At the end of the day, it absolutely does not matter how MANY phases you use. What matters is whether you've satisfied your figures of merit, i.e., ripple, regulation, et cetera. There are a huge number of possible designs that will all satisfy the ATX power supply requirements, and certain manufacturers will make particular tradeoffs in light of other decisions they've made (e.g., they prefer to buy components from company X, and they get a better deal on the smaller devices, so they go with a 16-phase supply instead of an 8-phase supply). It's possible to build a 16-phase supply that absolutely sucks, and it's possible to build a 4-phase supply that is incredibly solid and has great performance.

Worrying about how many phases a power converter utilizes is like worrying about what brand of fuel pump your car has. Worry about the CAR's performance, don't fret about Goodwrench versus MOPAR
."

It's getting a bit annoying that people seem to be basing quality of VRMs on motherboards based solely on the number of phases it has, not on the specifications of the components used in those phases.

Try to get a Cooler Master Hyper TX3. Out of stock in most online stores, try in local stores ;)

With that motherboard you need to use the stock cooler or use a top-down aftermarket cooler to cool the VRM. If you get a 212 Evo, then you need to add a fans that blows air directly on the VRM or it will throttle the CPU at full load. There's a reason why AMD released the Wraith cooler; it's because most inexpensive AMD motherboards require a top-down cooler to prevent the VRM from getting too hot and cause CPU throttling.

A heat sink requires a good airflow like the stock cooler provides. The deepcool gaammaxx 300 is not even as good as the TX3. Check the VR coils temperature with 3 coolers: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-wraith-cpu-cooler,4450-2.html Please note the motherboard used for their test is significantly better than yours. You want to use a tower cooler? No problem, but you may have to get a better motherboard or at least improve air flow through the VRM heat sink.
