Mother board audio vs Gpu audio

Hello i have Msi Z170A gaming pro mother board and Gtx 970 Xtreme gaming + BenQ Rl2455Hm monitor
Should i connect my headset to motherboard or to my monitor audio (connected to the gpu) for best performance ?

Absolutely NEVER use the output on benq monitors, it sounds like piss. The motherboard will be good enough for most headsets (until you get to high end stuff like the DT990 and other high ohm sets)
