Hi, i bought 750ti so i can play games little better with my old hp pavilion HP P6-2010scm
. After scavenging for many hours i found that i need bios update to my AAHD2-HY motherboard, and i can't simply find anything. Is there anyway around this ?

Solution

Nope. That's your problem though. If your GPU card has a provision for a 6pin or 8pin PEG connector for power, it MUST be plugged in.

When I looked up the specs on your computer on the HP site, it listed your PSU as a typical 300w unit (read: cheap). Now, since this is only a 750ti and doesn't draw gobs of power, you should be able to use a molex -> 6pin adapter without issues to supply the power for the card. If this were a higher power card like a GTX 950/960 or higher I would not recommend it, but odds are that this card draws...

Hmm... instead of flashing the BIOS (risky) - have you:

1) Gone through the BIOS to make sure that you've enabled PCIe graphics over the integrated graphics?
2) made sure that you connected the appropriate power connector to the 750ti if it has one on the back? Some of the 750ti's have supplemental power if they're overclocked or come close to the 75w limit provide through the PCIe slot. If the card has an aux power connector and it's not connected, the card will NOT function.
3) connected the monitor to the output of the 750ti?

Check those three things, then report back.

My pc doesn't have pci express cable, i red on internet that the slot has enough power so i don't need it even though my card has slot for it and yes its overclocked. So is this a lost call ?

Hi I believe I've ran into this issue before, try connecting your VGA cable so display shows up, or however you got your display to show up before, and install your GPU's drivers. Then plug in your GPU your display should show up.

Get a power adapter, connect it to one of the molex connectors (hopefully your PSU has one of THOSE!) and your graphics card and you should be all set.

Rookie_MIB Yea thats what i was thinking and i had extra molex = power adapter laying around, but this computer doesnt have extra molex cables...
Anyways guys thanks for helping, i'm thinking of buying some cheap powersuply and just plug the power adapter from it to the graphics card.
