Hey, i'm using pentium 4 , 2.80Ghz pc with 512mb Ram. I want to increase ram size upto 4gb .Can it support. If yes can go for max of 8gb.

That will depend on the motherboard, not the CPU. But most P4 boards support 4GB. That era motherboard rarely supported 8GB, but I can't say for sure on that point. For best results always buy the memory in matched pairs.
