Is the CoolerMaster Hyper 612 V.2 a good choice?

Hey all.

So, last year a bought myself the gemenii m4 cooler for my core 2 quad q9550 as it was hitting 100c with the stock cooler.

Since then i upgraded my rig to the skylake platform:

CPU: I3-6100 @3.7GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170-HD3
RAM: Transcend 8GB DDR4 @ 2133 MHz

The reason for this question is because 3 days ago I OC'd my CPU (thanks the Bios update for that) to 4.44GHZ with 1.245 volts and I can no longer check the temps due to a bug.

Will this new cooler keep my system cool as well as provide good future compatibility for the I5-6600k which I plan on upgrading to at some point?

Or is my current cooler good enough?

Thanks.

With the i3 you should be in the 40's and with the i5 you should be in the high 40's maybe the low 50's. You should be good at those temps for sure. Only way that you should be getting in trouble is in the 70's. Not likely you will reach those temps though unless you have an air flow issue or the cooler is not mounted correctly.

Your m4 cooler should be good enough to keep it cool with no trouble at all. With the i5 it will be some what warmer but should not get hot. The m4 is made for low profile installations but will work just fine in other installations. Yes there are more powerful coolers but you shouldn't need one.

HI, thanks responding.

Do you know what my temps should be more or less?
