I am looking into selling a gaming rig I built in the spring of 2015, but I don't know what kind of money I should be asking for. Specs are below:

CPU - Intel i7 4770k

GPU - EVGA GTX 980ACX 2.0

Mobo - Asus ROG HERO VII

Drives - WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200rpm HDD + Samsung 850 Pro 256gb SSD

Memory - G.Skill SNIPER SERIES 2 x 4gb 1866mhz RAM

PSU - Corsair HX850w

Case - Fractal Design Define R5
9
Fans - 3x Noctua PWM Case fans (120mm)

CPU Cooler - NZXT x61 Kraken water cooler

In total I payed $2050 USD for the rig, and I have had zero issues with it. I played a few hardware demanding games here and there but nothing too frequent, so I assume after about a year of usage my components are in almost new condition.

I would be willing to throw in my keyboard mouse or screen in for a combo deal

So how much should I sell my rig for?

While it was a nice PC, anyone who would pay that kind of money now would get a skylake/ddr4/980ti kind of system and would only buy a used system if it was a great deal, like 40-50% kind of deal. PC's don't retain a lot of value, and while you say "it barely has any miles on it", everyone says that and there is no way to really know if you beat on and OC'd the thing for the last 300 days and let it fill up with cat hair and just cleaned it out a week ago.

You would probably do better parting it out as people are more willing to buy used parts than a whole used system.

Not trying to be a downer, but used, honestly, I'd be surprised if you got a $1000 for it.

I was thinking the price would be around that area. I agreed to sell the rig to my friend for $1100 with keyboard mouse and screen included. Thanks for the input!
