Hi Guys, I've been given a hand me down Cpu cooler for the lga 775 socket, it is a tower type cooler with no brand markings. thing is, Its missing its backplate, the one that's supposed to go to the back of the mobo for support. is there a way i can fabricate my own backplate? Are there templates that I can use available offline?

Solution
You don't even need a template, just measure from the motherboard and pay attention to anything sticking out at the back. I would be tempted to use aluminium sheet for greater long-term durability, with a plastic spacer/insulator.

Thanks for the replies guys. Unfortunately I live here in a province in the Philippines where ordering online would be very difficult. I was thinking maybe a template that I can printout then trace into something hard like plastic as CountMike has said? It's really a DIY thing...
