Hey,

I've just reinstalled my pc and got everything up and running (drivers programs everything) and last I installed LoL, went in for a game and since Im so used to my settings and running dual monitors, clicked borderless, but fps was capped at 60 for some reason. This problem did not persist before reinstalling.

What Ive done so far:
- changed all the available ingame settings
- reinstalled LoL
- disable vsync and set to uncapped
Other games dont have any prob running in borderless
Dishonored, BF4, CSGO tested

Specs are Fx8350 stock; r9 270x; 16gb hyperx savage;

Check your v-sync settings. Try it disabled while in windowed mode, or vice-versa if it doesn't change. It really won't matter if you're capped at 60FPS if you're not using a monitor that's greater than 60hz.

Thats just myth, its clearly visible even on a 60hz monitor when beyond 120fps, what Ive found out is that going into borderless forces vsync to be on, while ingame settings tell it is not.

Anyone got an idea on how to force disable vsync?

16.3.1, but its on always off, already tweaked that seems to have no effect over league.

Edit: Something interesting I just found. Lowering the resolution removes the cap. So when Im on 1600x**** there is no cap but when I go back to 1920x1080 its capped again. (speaking only about borderless)

Its not a myth, at 60Hz your monitor can only display 60 frames per second. If you are above 60 FPS you can get what is referred to as screen tearing, where two different frames are displaying at the same time on the monitor, and where the frames meet there is a tear, not noticeable if it is small (frames are very similar), but very noticeable if they are different especially in a fast action scene.

vSync can however cause input lag.

Well, okay. What Ive seen up to now is that the game runs way smoother and Ive never experienced screen tearing.
Can anyone help on topic please? Why does it cap only at 1920x1080 Borderless and not at any other resolution/mode?
