We have an Acer desktop and my External drive passport is no longer showing up.

This sounds really unfortunate. Do you remember doing anything in particular before this issue started to occur? Have you had problems with the drive itself prior to this one?
Since the drive has no issues with other computers, I assume it could be a problem with that particular system, so I'd recommend that you try a different external drive with it, to see if the same thing happens. Try resetting or reinstalling the Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller's driver, to see if hat fixes things up. You should also check if the drive is recognized in Device Manager, Disk Management and your computer's BIOS/UEFI.
Other than that, just to be on the safe side, I'd suggest that you backup the important files which you have on that drive and test it with DLG (Data Lifeguard) by running both tests (Quick and Extended), to see if anything out of the ordinary pops-up. Thanks Boogieman... I did not do anything out of the ordinary prior to the changes. I love your answers just need to know how to do them step by step. In the meantime I did check disk management and it does not appear there either. Now let me try BIOS/UEFI and I will let you know how that goes shortly.
