what tool can i use to determine if the tech in the usb is actually usb 3.0, since im having questions about if its actually usb 3.0. ive used an usb tree viewer and that said that it was an usb 2.0 connection, while the usb port was under an intel usb 3.0 hub chip.

hm i found that it connects to a different chipset than the usb3.0 controller. which is weird since this laptop only has 3.0 ports(or atleast is supposed to have only 3.0 ports and they actually appear to be usb 3.0. blue and usb3.0 logos on all ports)

Update
i disabled some controllers for usb and only left usb 3.0 controllers on. when i unplug and replug usb it still says "plug this device into a 3.0 port for higher speeds"
